The short version: this site collects almost nothing, stores nothing, and shares nothing. The long version is below.

Who is responsible

Kalindi Bhatia operates this website and is the Data Fiduciary for any personal data it processes, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can reach her atkalindi@kalindibhatia.com for any question, request or complaint about your data, including a grievance under the Act.

What this site collects

If you do nothing but read

Nothing identifying. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics that profile you, and no cookies set for tracking. Visitor numbers are counted using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint individuals or build profiles across sites.

Fonts are served from this domain rather than a third-party font service, so reading a page here does not tell any other company that you did.

If you use the enquiry form

The form asks for, and only for:

  • the name you want to be called
  • your email address, so a reply is possible
  • the subject of your enquiry
  • your message

That message is emailed directly to Kalindi and isnot written to any database, spreadsheet, CRM or log. It exists in her email inbox and nowhere else. It is not used for marketing, not added to any mailing list, and never sold or shared.

Two services are involved in getting it there: Cloudflare, which serves this site and runs the anti-spam check, and Resend, which delivers the email. Both act on Kalindi's instructions only.

Anti-spam

Form submissions pass through Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes people from bots. Turnstile is designed as a privacy-preserving alternative to conventional CAPTCHAs: it does not track you across websites and does not use your data for advertising.

Why, and on what basis

Contact details are processed for one purpose: replying to you. The basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Consent is not a condition of using the site, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing Kalindi — withdrawal is as easy as giving it.

How long anything is kept

Enquiry emails are kept while a conversation is ongoing and deleted once it has concluded and there is no reason to retain them. If you ask for yours to be deleted sooner, it will be, and Kalindi will confirm once it is done.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask to:

  • know what personal data is held about you and how it has been used
  • have inaccurate data corrected, or data erased
  • withdraw consent previously given
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot
  • raise a grievance, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India

Email kalindi@kalindibhatia.com to exercise any of these. Requests are answered as quickly as possible and in any case within 90 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 18, and the enquiry form should not be used by anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's involvement.

Email is not confidential

Email travels across systems neither of us controls. Please do not send detailed personal, medical or clinical information through the form or by email. Anything of that nature belongs in a session, where it can be held properly.

Counselling records

This policy covers the website only. If you go on to become a client, confidentiality, note-keeping and record retention for the counselling work itself are covered separately in the agreement you will be given before any first session.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change and the updated version will be published here at https://kalindibhatia.com/privacy.
